Suzan Horrocks is a friendly, caring, and knowledgable music teacher. She has taught piano, along with music literacy, theory and appreciation, to children and adults for over 30 years.
After receiving a BA in Special Performance from UC Santa Barbara, Ms. Horrocks delved into professional vocal accompanying while furthering her classical piano studies with Brigitta Lialousis, Bernardo Segal, and Dr. Esther Lee Kaplan. She soon discovered a passion for teaching, and taught classes and private lessons at the Yamaha Music School in Sherman Oaks while also becoming the Music Director at the Calmont School. Developing her own curriculum, she set up a private studio specializing in elementary through college preparatory instruction. She serves as a judge and chairperson for the American College of Musicians.
